The Painted Word
This was the outcome from my second year of my Fine Art degree, producing work that I exhibited in Bath Central Library. I selected an object, someone else selected a word visible on it, I produced a painting, inspired by that word, on the item.
Open Up
Here is the outcome of my first year on my Fine Art course, displayed in the Bath Spa Library; this project was the first where I painted on objects. I had conversations with family members about inner conflicts and painted them on boxes. The outside representing what is visible on them, the inside showing their conflicts.
Is This Cool?
My Foundation Year is when I was introduced to Richard Serra and found my interest in text, inspired art. I selected the word 'cool' explored its many meanings and connotations, painting them on wood.
